P.S. I requested through a mod last month to have the admins unlock the sticky so I can re-link a pic of the list. Hasn't happened yet.

I just had my first oil change today at 4,000 miles. I just couldn't bring myself to wait until the DIC told me to change it! I took it to the dealer where I bought it and the owner of the dealership came out to check my HHR out the second I got there. He liked the graphics on the side rear windows and also commented on my white bowties. I'm glad I use a dealer that is receptive to mods.......

Goose, that's why I asked the question about your storage of oil. Appears that the GTX is NOT approved.

I'm sorry gang..... that user, Anthony, is a spammer. That IP address has 5 other user names associated with it and the links they post are usually to online parts houses such as the one he posted.
No welcome for that spammer....

Now back to your oil change thread.

And thanks for the reminder about the sticky. I'll look into that right now.

Actually I just bought the GTX this past Saturday at Walmart. Says right on the jug GM6049M approved.

I felt guilty buying it with all the oil I have in the garage but wanted to try the GTX...isn't it ironic that almost every quart in my garage is on the list but the GTX is not now.

Like I said, the jug I bought says it is good to go so that works for me...maybe the newer stuff coming in will not have approval rating on it...who knows

I just took Purple Haze in for it's first oil change (dic said 30%, I said 4500 miles & 6 months is far enough). I specifically told them to check the rotors, because of the troubles I've read about here. Luckily, we got a clean bill of health. also, I asked what brand of oil they use, and they said Pennzoil is all they use.
