Thought I'd drop a line in case anybody else gets in this situation.
About a week ago my shifter lockout solenoid started clicking on every touch of the brake, underway or parked if you touched the brake it'd go off. My doors quit unlocking when you put it in park also. Weird.
Talked to a few guys (I work around the auto repair industry) and most everyone was scratching their heads, including the dealer. I usually like to run stuff down myself, but it was weird enough that I decided I'd bite the bullet and take it in to the dealer. These guys are friends of mine and I trust them.
After 2 hours on it and 2 phone calls to Chevy Tech the thing that fixed it was cleaning the ground wire under the driver's side seat. They actually removed the seat to see if that wire was damaged, but ended up just cleaning & re-installing & the problem went away. Best $100 I ever spent. I woulda never found it. Word to the wise. Thanx gents!

 

Interesting. I'm assuming the ground wire was on the small harness for the sensor. I've had my seats out before, so also assuming the bad connection was at the plug since there is not a seperate wire ground harness.

Ditto firemangeorge, got that filed away under "Well never heard of that happening, but remember it just in case", that was a weird deal there that Kev had for sure.
