Smile New owner

bought my HHR yesterday....2 questions....I'd like to upgrade to 17 inch wheels....what complications will occur if I do??? How hard is it to attach running boards.....????thanks.....

Congrats on your HHR and enjoy the Ride.
First: 17's should not be to had since the 2LT coome with them.
Second: The are a couple of How to Posts about how to install the bds, and one is from TCRNCOB, she did hers by herself.

use a 215/50/17 and it's the same height as the 215/55/16.

hi. i had a guy reccommend 245/45/16 as a tire. It has a wide footprint. what do others think??

Too wide. Too short. Stock rims too narrow.

Go over to TireRack, put in your stock size and compare to other sizes that you're considering.

Pay attention to the rim width ranges and revs per mile when making comparisons.
