OY! The "cute" remark! Kiss of death. Makes ya cringe. Time for fake bullet holes! Only kidding.

Just add some mods and have fun. It will always be a cool looking car that some will say is "cute". If the person saying it is cute and available, perhaps the comment can lead to more of a relationship.? Then again, the speaker is likely a dork, so scrap that

You will likely get the old "PT Cruiser" remarks more though. Then you have to educate them etc.

It is an uphill battle, and we are the HHR Warriors in charge of spreading the faith. Go forth and start explainin' your purchase to the world.
You have a great car there

I haven't had the "cute" comment much, but it's been called a PT Cruiser more times than I would like. When it happens I just point to the bowtie and

When I first got it, none of my friends flat-out called it a PT Cruiser, but they did say stuff like, "He drives that PT Cruiser-lookin thing..." and stuff like that. I've only had one stranger tell me my car was cute, and that was the grocery-carrier-outer girl at a grocery store, but she was good-looking, so I didn't mind

I've had that comment. Never had it called a PT. Did have one person ask, as I posted once before, if it was a new Hummer. Never have figured that one out except maybe the "HH" in "HHR" 'cause the letter "H" is about all the HHR has in common with a Hummer (and of course they are both GM products).

When at a car show, a handsome black vested Harley man complimented nicely about my PT Cruiser, I kindly said, it's not a PT, it's a Chevy HHR. It's like me calling your Harley Davidson a Honda. He laughed, apologized and got the point!
