Yep me too. I think this car looks best in black. It's a matching "retro" color. I am not a black car buyer but could not pass this one up in black, Any other color and I would be posting in the Vibe/MAtrix forums right now. Those are the cars I was looking for when I stumbled on this HHR.

 

Most of the time when I tell people I have an HHR they have no idea what it is unless I tell them it is sort of like a PT and then the light goes on

Yup been there. Maybe after the HHR has been on the road a few more years we will not have to use the PT as a frame of reference.

 

Do people still ask you what kind of car you drive?

The best was when I was down in Miami, on a Friday night, at The Towers. We were all saying good by, and the Off Duty Police, as Security Guards, for the event said "Okay PT Crusers time to go", Pt's had left along time ago. We were 6 HHR strong.
One Black, One Daytona Blue, and 4 Sunburst Oranges. The Police were informed that we had HHR's. Should have seen their faces. They said " I stand corrected, HHR's it is time to go."

 

Yeah, I had a chick lean into my window saying this is a chick's car, so as I was saying "you're getting smoke in my car", I was also rolling up the window to ignore her. She walked away rejected. Hahahaha!

 

Wheelie doesn't mind being called cute. ..in fact, he likes how I am titling my HHR cartoon....Wheelie The Incredicle Cute Ute...HEEHEE!!

 

yeah i got a remark that uh-oh get ready," you have a pt cruiser want to be" !!!!!!! i was on fire. couldn't calm myself down enough to think of something smart to come back with. but oh well i'm glad that i don't drive around in a giant bubble on wheels :)

 

My wife and I met somewhere after work and both drove our own cars. The HHR and a New Beetle. Five people walked by and called us cute for our cute cars.

 

Black----oh YEAHHHH!!! Ive still had a couple of "cute" coments and the usual PT comments. I even have metallic skulls with flames on my side rear windows and being a Fall Edition, it has the black chrome striping down the sides, tinted windows and vent visors all the way around. My wife did say however that she thought it looked gangter or like a death mobile
