I also get the PT thing a lot. I live about 15 miles from where the neon had been assembled so Chrysler and Jeep is very popular here. I think I am out numbered by about 20 to 1.

Dory was just described as "cute" and "gangster" by my friends mother.........

Both in the same sentence!! Didn't know that was possible!

PTs outnumber EVERY car out there 20 to 1! I swear they're the modern version of what the VW Bug used to be in the 1960s and 1970s...you can't spit without hitting four or five of the things. I'm glad that I did not get one back in '02 when I was thinking of them.

I agree, too, with the post a few up in the thread about the a/c control reverting to outside air every time. That gets old.

Every time I wash the thing, too, the lights above the license plate and the driver's side rear door handle ooze water for a hours afterwards, forcing me to either live with streaks on the hatch and bumper, or keep checking it every few mintues and wiping it down yet again!

I've never gotten the car called "cute" yet. I wouldn't mind the "gangster" comment, provided they meant gangsters from the 1930s or 1940s...I just got the running boards put on for three or four of the boys to ride on while they shoot their tommy guns at those doity coppers and dem mooks who are holdin' out on the protection money, see?!?!

While at Reserves this weekend I pulled up in front of our building to drop my wife off...one of the guys just stood there looking at us...when I asked what he was looking at he said he was waiting to see if about 20 clowns were going to get out...I had to laugh...not sure if it ws the color of the shape of the HHR....of course he drives a big ass Dodge Ram

I drove one of my wifes co-workers home the other night.

When my wife and her came out of the mall, her co-worker said "oh it's cute"

I replied "It's not cute, it's cool, damnit"

But isn't it funny how after you give someone a ride, they are always very impressed. No one ever knows what kind of car it is but they always complement it when they exit.

Funny how someone mentioned the Hummer. I thought the windows in the HHR were so small until I got in my sister's Hummer and found out they were just as small and she gets 1/3 the gas mileage!

The HHR being called a PT is actually pretty funny.Go read some of the PT forums. PT owners call the HHR boxy and SUV looking, not as retro, but yet many people still get them confused.By the way, what Chrysler vehicle does the PT look like?

I am also a Dodge Ram owner. My son drives it back and forth to School while I save gas driving the HHR.

I like how folks don't like it being called "cute" but name it after cartoon characters.
