GoOgle is so challenging.
There are other outfits on ebay that offer the service. It needs to be programmed even if you buy a brand new one. The "official " name is SDM; SensorDiagnosticModule.

I thought so, good point David, you send in your original module, they refurbish it and return it to you.
no VIN matching scanner problems.

The search brings up seat belt modules, not ABS

Ok, that explains it! Caffeine deficiency. I was thinking maybe these companies have more information on the seatbelt module ads.

Thanks! On their page it says it "may" need to be reprogrammed after rebuild. They could run another couple hundred dollars.
I might still attempt to tear into it myself. (I'm pretty handy with soldering.) Worst case scenario is that I screw it up but I haven't been using ABS for months now and have been fine. 👍

Your choice! But just remember, in the event of an accident, this could come back and bite you in the rump! With very large teeth, especially if someone were to be injured, named or worse, killed. Car crash lawyers and insurance companies along with police , might find the disabled ABS brain a troublesome piece of evidence.
Just saying!
