If your talking the small wire on the starter, yes.
That wire when you turn the key to start engages the starter motor to turn.

If the post is loose, contact inside the solenoid could be broken... Starter won't spin with that condition.

Well obviously, but will it read 0rpm or is it unable to read? No rpm signal no crank

ANY loose wire could be the problem. You have to find out HOW it became loose to fix it.

No rpm because when the key is turned to start it you get nothing.

You would need some kind of diagnostic equipment to tell the difference between zero RPM and no signal, it is a dial tachometer. Even just an obd2 code reader and the Torque App would probably do it.

I use hptuners. But torque would work for that

No crank no start

Got under car and jumped the two post and got the car to turn over several times but it would not start. I also noticed ion my dash panel the security light is on it's not flashing but it stays on. I tried the, trick I found online that tells you to turn the key on wait 10 minutes and twoto do that 2 more times and then it should start, didn't work.

That "trick" is a) in your Owner Manual and b) not for this problem.

The security light comes on when there is a dead battery or when someone tries to steal the car with a unprogrammed key. Warning either situation will result in the key being stuck in the ignition.

It wouldn’t start jumping the wires , sensors run tests when you turn the key, it is simply a turn and release ignition, not like the old days of turn and hold until it starts
