OMGosh, what did you do to get 5 flats?

Probably rode w/ my wife. She finds road hazards the way most people find lint in their pockets.

1. Second week of ownership. Ran over some road debris from a collision. The weird thing was I actually tried to get over to the opposite side of the interstate, but the debris was all over the road. Big metal chunk 'o Honda sliced right through the sidewall. This was back when the car was so new that all the Firestone Affinity's were being shipped to Ramos for production, so I had to get a non-matching replacement.

2. Nail in the driveway. Backed out of the garage and couldn't steer. When I was on the way to the tire shop, I felt a wobble and realized that I forgot to torque the lug nuts. Pulled over and realized that I left the lug wrench in the garage. Hand tightened the nuts and drove 10 mph the rest of the mile to the tire shop.

3. Nail in the parking lot at Carmax. Tire change took only 10 minutes because it was 20 degrees outside.

4. Nail from the street. Slow leak, drove to tire shop.

5. Nail in the sidewall. Another non-matching replacement tire because no one sells Firestone in this town.

I'm not even bothering to rotate the tires anymore. I'll probably kill 'em before they're worn to the threads.
