No Start: no steering wheel lock, key turns & pulls out, can shift gears, no turnover

Day 3, and still no news from the dealer. The last bit of info I heard from them yesterday was that the starter is not getting any juice, but the BCM seems to be fine. Everyone still thinks it's a wiring issue, but haven't located it yet. Getting frustrating to not have my car, and know they aren't even started on fixing it yet, although I realize this isn't an easy problem to find/fix. Fingers crossed for news soon.

Got a call this morning, the dealer says it's the anti-theft module that isn't communicating with the ECM. They want $300 for the part (part # 25910845; $194.67 on gmpartsdirect) and $300 for the labor to install and program.
He said if I get the part myself there's no guarantee / warranty so if it doesn't work I'd have to pay it all again.
Is this anything I could feasibly do on my own, or have someone do cheaper? Or should I just bite the bullet?

Are they going to guarantee that that is the fix? What if they do that and it's not fixed?
I think it is in the connector or wire to it.
You could install it, but there is programming to do that you cannot do.
If the technician was awake the day they taught "B" codes in the Tech2 class he should be able to tell exactly what is wrong with it. B codes don't always show on a standard OBD reader.
My money is on one of the wires got stressed when you were messing with the switch and pulled out of the contact.

He said he checked the connector ends, no problems there. After checking wire connections, they are 'confident' the module under the key cylinder is the problem.
Thing is, I'm not quite so confident in THEM, because the original quote had part number 25910845, which is the BCM. I corrected them and pointed them to part number 25807440, which is the thing you pointed out in your pics, and that they pointed out to me in person.
Final quote now is $411 plus tax on the $150 TDM, not as bad but still stings..
