no windshield washers

They worked last time i needed them, filled the tank (nothing but the -40 below stuff ever!) and I don't even hear the pump running or any clicks.. 28 degrees out right now and freezing mist last night on the way home. it would have been nice if they were working... I checked the fuse listed on the box under the hood and it looked ok, gonna try digging in tomorrow when it gets light out.I was hoping it was low on fluid or a fuse, I amnever that lucky. Don't think they are clogged or frozen but ya never know.

creeping up on 200K miles, 199678 miles and still happy with it.

Is the tank still full? Does the rear washer work? It runs off the same pump.

Mine quit working a couple of months ago and replaced the pump from Rock auto. Now it is good again, very cheap quick fix.

When I replaced my washer pump, I disected the old one, and the motor was locked up.

just took a drive and now there is a wet spot under the pass side by where the front tire was parked. I'm guessing playing with the wiring on the pump motor has knocked the rubber mount a bit and now it is leaking. Why not??? Hopefully the new pump will have a replacement for it....

My seal leaked too. It looks like a grommet. The pump comes with a new one. You need to push it in pretty firmly to get it to seal properly or it’ll leak. It sort of snaps in. I found that seal for sale separately somewhere on line but I don’t remember where. It was discussed here in a prior thread.

got the replacement yesterday, with the seal. slipped it in today even tho it is still snowing a bit. came right out and with a little help, so did the seal. Seal looked OK but not worth the risk leaving it in. New one went in easily and seated . New pump works great! took about 10 min to replace. Only filled fluid 1/2 way to see if it leaks out.I did lift the air filter up out of the way a bit so I had room for my big hands without messing up the intake hose. Happy camper!!
