Noise in dash

When starting up my 2006 HHR I get a clicking noise in the dash that goes away after a few seconds. Sounds like it is coming fron the Pass side.

Any ideas?

Passenger ejector seat test module going thu its test cycle...its looking for weight on the seat sensor and then sends a signal back to the control unit to either arm or default off the system. Just remember, never NEVER touch the red button while moving unless you absolutely intend to activate the system. It has a failsafe that defaults off anytime there is no signal from the speed sensor, that way if your parking(remember-accidents cause people!) or toking or just eating donuts while watching the sunset it wont inadvertently activate. Otherwise its normal noise from valves or relays and actuators moving around....

My guess would be a heater a/c mode or blend door motor that's failing. They have plastic gears the sometimes strip out and make clicking noises. See if you
Can make the same noise by chainging modes and temp of the heater controls also try the fresh are and recerc buttion

I tried all combinations of heater/ac settings... Nothing changed.

Any other ideas?

While it is not an audio I have posted a youtube video with sound on it. The first sound is the turning of the key. The rest is the sound from the dash area.

Sounds more like a knock or thump. It's not an audio sound coming out of the speaker is it ?

And what's up with the flashing clock on the radio?

Not coming out of the radio. It was turned off. Everything was turned off for that video. The key was turned to the run position. When the car is started the clicking noise continues. It stops at the same number of clicks everytime.

The flashing is due to the setting on the GoPro camera.
