just the past few days my HHR has been sounding funny when driving almost like when you have a card in the wheel of your tires on your bicycle so the sound gets louder as you speed up and gets lower as you come to a stop. any ideals what this could be

Sounds like a wheel bearing....the whole hub is replaced when it comes to the HHR

 

Flex pipe on the exhaust or a wheel bearing.
