I did a Google search on the Autel AP 200. Didn’t see anything in the specs about being able to program fobs.

FiremanGeorge, its the immo programming on the Autel, this AP200 does everything that a $600 programmer will do, plus

Did you erase the old fobs then add the new fob? I believe the car can only have 4 fobs programmed to it.

Guess I’m confused.
Immo programming is for doing keys. “Chip” keys in particular that are part of the lmmobilization system on the car. Correct ?
I’m not seeing where this basic Autel unit is supposed to do fobs also.

Yes OldBlue, this thread is going off on a tangent.
When the programmer was communicating with the vehicle the bluetooth connection was lost, that is a big no no, and has caused major problems with the canbus system.
Nothing was done by me regarding programming, the bluetooth connection was lost before communicating with the vehicle.

FiremanGeorge, immo is also fob programming, trust me, I programmed two fobs for my daughter’s 2018 Sierra with it.

Did you spend the extra money so that the Autel would work on the second vehicle?

10% of the reviews on Amazon are 1 star. There is a 2 star review from Jaguar owner, says it messed up his car. I think he said he had to reset the ECM.

No extra money, GM software covers all GM vehicles.

Well, maybe you should call Autel. Maybe they know how to fix their malfunction. I don't use bluetooth because it is unreliable.
I just don't know how it is possible to mess it up if it never even connected. Short circuit in the adapter, maybe?

It messed up since bluetooth connection was lost while trying to communicate with the vehicle.
I prefer hard wired connections too.
