oil leak
#4
I had the same problem after about 150K miles. It is NOT easy to remove the oil cooler to replace the seals(small hands helps). Some techs will say that you have to drop the transmission to remove the oil cooler(NOT TRUE)!
I opted to make it easier to replace the seals and go with a conventional oil cooler(better in my opinion). The original oil cooler is called an HEAT EXCHANGER- because it uses the water in your radiator to cool your oil.(many other cars use this).
You may NOT want do the same thing I did- as it takes a lot of time and CUSTOM WORK. My remote oil cooler can be found on this site by doing a search for: REMOTE OIL COOLER.
Just replacing the seals will fix your oil leak. The oil cooler(heat exchanger) is also installed on the SS models.
My bad!
