One headight yellowing?

Ok thought I has an issue with one of my headights dulling because I didn't change them out in pairs..(one being much older than a newer one) When I finally got pissed off enough with the Silverstars dying I yanked both of them out and replaced with Xtravison

Even with the new headlights one is noticeably dimmer than the other than the other when up against a garage door...I really think it is the actual housing as I think I remember chadpuska mentioning something like this...I think he ended up getting the whole headlight housing replaced under warranty

My car is only a year and a half old but 46K on it...because of the miles am I sol in getting this fixed without having to shell out big bucks?

Anyone else noticing one headlight a bit dimmer than the other? This is passenger side in my case

Goose; The one that is yellow is it the same one the went bad ?

Sometimes when a light go's bad it will leave a flim on the inside of the lamp housing. If thats the case you can try to clean [ apita ] or have them replace the housing.

I have had my silverstars from about as long I have had my HHR ,In fog lamps also!!! Still the same one I put in at 1st

Well i had 2 bulbs go out in it, i was told it had a broken seal letting in moisture haven't had a problem since. With the old one it was like clock work every 3 months it would blow but the other one was fine. All good now.

Thats it then moisture will kill the bulbs real fast, Had a friend that had the same prob. I said you must be getting the bulb drity or hitting it when putting it in. He came over and I looked at it Where is the little seal that was around the bulb holder, He took it off cause he could note get it back in to lock. Put it back on with a new bulb and has been go now

I've had to replace the Silverstars in both headlights and foglamps........

Sort of sucks the car is only a year and a half old and the housing needs to be replaced???

Not sure if it is moisture as no problem with the OEM lamps or the Xtravisions
