Outside air temperature sensor & wiring
Does anyone know what voltage is at the connector for the ambient air temp sensor. I'm reading about 1.5 volts at the green wire, nothing on the yellow wire.
As far as the sensor itself I'm reading about 1700 ohms resistance between the terminals. Changed sensors still no reading in the dash

GM says 4.7-5.3 volts... sounds like a short since your voltage is low..But I don't have a diagram to confirm those are the correct colors either..
Edit: GM says if its low(1.5 volts) its a short to ground...
I found all of this info through our google search function

You would not get a reading on one of the wires. Temp sensors usually (not sure specifically) are a diode that allows a current through that varies by temp. so, you would only get a reading if the diode was in place and then only if you know what you are doing.
I would be asking what happened just before the temp stopped on the dash. It is very rare for a diode to fail spontaneously, more likely something else in the circuit.
Check your PM.
