Funny thing. I have had mine come on and start dinging. The only thing I had on the seat was my cell phone that was charging. Minute I took the cell phone off the seat, light went out.

Just copied this from manual. "The on indicator may be lit if an object, such as a
briefcase, handbag, grocery bag, laptop or other electronic device, is put on an unoccupied seat. If this is not desired, remove the object from the seat.

Okay........... that's just too logical for my brain to deal with.

Seriously though, when would it be desired for the light to come on when any of those things were in the seat......

The manual says MAY turn light on too. This is GMs way of explaining why some vehicles will do something and some won't.

Hey, I've been to Flint (went to Kettering) and I know you need a couple shotguns, maybe even a tank, around there.

And crazykid, am I southern/Texan enough seeing as I have considered putting a gunrack in my '95 T/A along with lifting it???
