The perfect tire

Anyone know what the perfect all around tire is for a stock 06' 2.4 LT with 17 in. wheels. I live in northern Ohio so I drive in snow sometimes, rain, a lot. I've never been happy with stock tires even on dry roads and didn't want to go the snow tire route. If I go to snow tires what is the best wheel tire combo. Slip, slidden away.

I have Goodyear Eagle F1 all-seasons on mine. They are a fantastic tire. Great in the snow and rain, and stick like glue on dry pavement. A little pricey but not bad if you catch them on sale.

tire rack

i have read over 200 reviews on the tire rack site . there are so many different results/opinions about tires. i am thinking seriously about getting some Kumho ecxta platinum lx , for my 08 2.4 auto , with oem 17s. we don't get alot of snow here. i don't know if they were rated highly for snow , but they seem to have many positive reviews. i want to get the tallest tire that will fit my hhr , but i am not sure what that is. i think 235/45/zr17 will go , but i am not sure , and would like to go even taller if possible. i have driven a few days in the snow and many in the rain with the stock firehawk gtas , i like them , they are on their last miles 56000+.
