That plastic coolant filler pipe!

I’m not sure how many of these coolant filler pipes crack and leak with age, but it’s time to replace the rad hoses in the BlackSwan, I didn’t want to risk breaking the plastic filler pipe, so I ordered a 1 1/4 aluminum filler pipe from Filler Neck Supply . The part is listed as just $18.88 USD so I ordered one . It is very sturdy abs welded nicely, they included a 15 psi radiator cap with it.

The rad cap installed

Thick wall aluminum pipe and overflow pipe

The other side to show the rad cap piece

Nicely welded and the rad cap attaching points are machined not cast

The other side to illustrate the quality of the machined rad cap holder

It came packed in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box

Thi was the box that was packaged inside a shipping envelope the kind with little air bubbles lining the interior of the envelope.

Nice! I paid more than that for the used plastic one from the salvage yard.
