Power Saving Mode now won’t start
was just driving down the road fine and all of a sudden radio went off I started getting very low power and the display read power saving mode. Safely pulled over shut the engine off and I now have zero power or lights and car won’t turn over. Any ideas?

Yeah, check that battery for sure.
NOTE: if you open the rear hatch and remove the battery, DO NOT close the hatch unless you lay a towel or map over the lock mechanism, as the hatch lock is powered via the battery.

Thanks I took off the battery cables to make sure I had a clean connection then gave it a jump and it fired right up. Drove it about 10 min via the interstate and it drove as quiet and smooth as it usually does and no reduced power like I had before I pulled Over. No check engine light or any notifications are showing up. Took it to Auto Zone battery and alternator are testing fine so kinda scratching my head on how this may have happened.

2006 HHR Engine and Battery power issues
Well barely had time to check replies on my 1st post about my vehicle and here I am with something else. Here is my post with a concern with the transmission. not sure if that information would help with this or not. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/main...uestion-61473/. Anyway I bought this 2006 HHR 2.2 4 cylinder 6 days ago and today was just driving down the road fine engine has been quiet and smooth since I’ve had it and all of a sudden radio went off I started getting very low engine power and the display read power saving mode. Safely pulled over shut the engine off and had zero battery power to anything at all so of course it wouldn’t turn over . I took the battery cables off to make sure I had a clean connection visually inspected all cables and wires for anything lose or in poor shape and didn’t notice anything obvious. Jumped the battery t stared right up. Drove it 10 min via the interstate to Autozone and engine performance was back to normal no check engine lights or any messages are displaying and was not displaying prior to this incident either. Battery and Altenator both tested good so im scratching my head on this one. I am going to take it to a shop I trust Monday and have them check everything out as well. Any feedback or ideas would be appreciated so I can give good feedback to the shop. I can troubleehoot basic and common little things but with these types of issues already I should probably have someone take a deeper look.

So which thread are we supposed to be following? This one, or https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/main...7/#post862138?

If you only cleaned the battery terminal connections at the battery (in the back by the spare tire) I suggest you also check the main battery cable connection at the underhood fuse box. That location is a known spot for having corrosion or a loose connection over time.
