Interesting - the initial suggestions were to replace the battery back in post #2.

FYI - the battery voltage while the engine is running should be in the range of 14+ Volts. .

Yeah, Only reason I didn’t replace the battery sooner is when testing they kept telling me the battery was good and alternator was not which I now know those can be sketchy. I thought the same thing I’ve Always known battery to be around 14 volts when running. Mechanic I talked to at shop claims 12.7 is acceptable these days so who knows. Hopefully will be good for a bit.

The mechanic you spoke to needs to go back to school. I'm out.

Good luck , the alternator is proven , not to be able to run the computers and recharge the battery, let along run the DRL’s on headlights.
12.5 volts is almost dead , the cells will start to go dead.
my OEM battery died at 12.49 volts , 2 dead cells. My alternator is OEM and 12 years old , I’m on my 3rd battery.

over and out!

Alternator(generator) and battery have been replaced, it might be fixed. Time will tell.
