Hey all... My wife accidently left the lights on ALL F-ing day and caused a dead battery... after jumping it, the power steering didn't work???? I pulled the fuse panel off in the car, but there doesn't appear to be any blown fuses??????? Am I missing something???? HELP... PLEASE!!!!

Power steering Fuse is #1 in the eng. compartment fuse box. ( not the one inside on the console)

The power steering fuse is commonly blown in the G5/Cobalt/HHR/ION when trying to jump start the car incorrectly. Review the procedures in the owner's manual.

Battery run down protection should have avoided this problem.

That works for the interior lights only, not headlights, even if you leave something plugged into a power outlet, it will continue to drain the battery. GM should come up with a automatic shut down of the headlights if the engine has been turned off for 5 or 10 min. Did you read the thread where a rear seat heater was left plugged into the power outlet, next morning the battery also was dead.

That's why I have the headlights set to Auto.

Car turns off, so do the headlights.
