You could, BUT as Lucky has sagely pointed out, HHR batteries are vented externally to the atmosphere to avoid the build-up of explosive gases as the alternator charges the battery.

Also, if you go this route, make sure the improvised cabling arrangement cannot come into contact with the body's sheetmetal or any other paths to ground...otherwise you'll have a really big bang when the battery shorts out.

Brian Wasilowski rather than run 3 different threads on what looks like is the same issue, please keep it to this single thread - it just makes it much easier to follow, and lessens confusion overall.

I've just merged your three threads into one.

The ABS light came on because of the P0300, which means "random misfire".

With one that is correct for the vehicle, vented externally or an AGM.

Just buy another AC Delco from the dealer; I expect mine to last another 10.5 years like the original did XD

Your a god sent I went and got a new battery installed free of course... Why do it myself if it's free... I digress Anywho Got in the car check engine light was still on and remote start wouldn't work..... Stopped at the gas station on the way home... And when i started it back up with the key, because remote start still wasn't working the check engine light was gone..... Got home and did a code scan the abs code was gone ,but the p0300 code multiple misfire was still there saved it said..... So I erased the codes.. Checked it again and no codes, plus the remote start started working again..... I can't believe a old/dying battery caused all this..... I guess welcome to technology.... smh..... I thank you very much and everyone else that gave me good feedback....

Don't be shocked if the light comes back after the OBDii tests get run. P0300 would have cleared itself after a few starts.

Good deal. Well, keep an eye on it - pop back here if it comes back, or if you have other issues.
