The lift gate on my 2009 HHR SS model has stopped operating. I have eliminated the associated fuses and relays as then you source of the problem and think the pressure switch/touchpad may be at fault. Please show me just how to remove the switch so I can test it before obtaining a new one.

 

HHR's are like Chinese Puzzles at times, but give the illustration below a look, if memory serves me right it's just a case of removing the bolt(s)#28. And the touchpad should just pull out, then you can undo the electrical connector, and replace the touchpad.



The GM part number for a new touchpad is 22747152, with a List Price of $38.78
