Radio only working on one speaker
I have a 2009 HHR LS, the radio is only working on the front left speaker. (I have seen other posts saying their car only has a working front right speaker) I dont want to disconect anything since I see it costs 100 bucks for the dealer to reprogram the radio to match the car. does anyone have a fix for this? it seems to be a common problem.. thanks!

your going to have to take apart the door panels and test each speaker to see if its the radio or the speaker that isnt working and move on from there..the LS comes with crap speakers anyway, so just swap them and if you have the money swap the deck also...
10x better sound afterwards lol

The LS has the option for the factory subwoofer Pioneer just like all the models The OP's LS could be like mine and came with the upgraded stereo.

I have noticed depending on the radio broadcasting signal that somtimes a sound will only come out of the front right speaker.....I change the station and all speakers will be in service...I switch back and all of a sudden only right front working....this all has to do with the radio stations broadcast signal..

ive taken mine in 2x for speakers and its just better to upgrade, if you have the tools and know how you can cut and chop the old mounts to become adapters, i threw sony xplod 6.5 in the rear doors and even with the stock H/U its sounds amazing, or best buy has the cheapest adapters ive seen for $10 a piece.. and ebay has a door panel/ dash removal tool set for pretty cheap as well ill post a link to the kit, otherwise your gonna bust retaining clips

Mine was the left-front. This is also where the nag alarm comes from. I had to take out the speaker and found that one of the braids from the coil to the cone was intermittent. I fixed it with some solder. That wasn't easy because the solder didn't want to flow into the braid for some reason even though it appears to be copper.

My rear speakers weren't working, but they turned out to just be blown. If you're worried about messing with anything, but want to know what's up, get a cheap speaker from somewhere in your house. Take off the door panels, and touch the wires of the cheap speaker to each of your door speaker prongs in turn to see if you get a signal and it's the speaker itself, or a whole different issue.
As for the airbag light, our cars seem to be prone to having electrical connectors somehow work loose. I've seen many cases of this. I had the light on myself just the other day, and it turned out to be the connector behind the steering wheel airbag module. Plugged it back it, no problem!
