I just used a spare chunk of white 3m auto vinyl to make white bowties.

Is the Chevrolet lettering a decal on top of the white vinyl?

Nope. The lettering is cut out of the bowtie.

The seller on ebay that has the old time Chevrolet script overlays did custom lettering on mine for a little extra money. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...QQcmdZViewItem

Painted my rear one candy apple red from the back, so it looks semi-transluscent (looks ok, not fantastic). When my front started flaking, I took it off and for now am trying the bsr emblem as shown. I like it since it is thinner than the bow-tie. I may try a billet bow-tie if I can find one that is perfect, but the looks of this is growing on me for now.

A relative of mine took hers in because of the rear bowtie mess up, and they told her it was not covered under warranty. I told her they were lying and not wanting to fix their defect.
