Rear hubs

Is it possible to remove hubs and brake drums as one unit? My drums are pretty well stuck on

My drums were so frustrating. The main thing I needed was patience, and to know it would eventually come off. To answer your question, I'm not sure, I've not had to change hubs yet. Good luck with the replacement though.

Lots of WD40 type stuff, a big hammer, a pry bar is how I did it.

I guess you could get the whole thing as a unit, as long as the shoes aren't helping hold them. The hubs can be removed without taking the shoes off.

Already tried the bfh and pry bar. I need to do brakes anyway, 189,000 on them. Just wanted to see if maybe easier to just take it all off at once

Don't think you can take all at once. You would need to disconnect the wheel cylinder as well as the E brake cable ( which is inside the drum ) and not sure if the backing plate is separate.
All things considered I think you are going to have to resort to many more rounds of BFH and pry bars and penetrant.
Good luck and have patience.

No need to remove either the shoes or the cylinder, the mounting bolts goes through the backing plate.

UNLESS the shoes are binding the drum.

Rear DISK brakes are different.

True Don. That was what I was thinking OP problem was.
You are right , if it is only that the drum has welded itself to the hub.
Then by all means pull the hub and drum as a unit. Just a thought, Does the horseshoe spring overlap the hub ?

I wiggled the hub flange past the horseshoe spring, there was room.

When you yank on them, is there some give? If so its probably the brake shoes holding it on, just need to adjust them inward using the hole in the backing plate.
If it is seized solid to the hub, ya... BFH.
