ours push in the center to release. I did the taillights on my wifes dodge, thought they worked the same way, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

My HHRs have had BOTH types all over the front lower valance, front wheel wells and the bumper covers.

I thought all you guys had changed at least 1 headlight. You have to remove at least one of each type and a screw to get into it.
