Ok...so I noticed today that my rear passenger side window rattles when driving. I rolled it down, then up to make sure it was up tight all the way. When rolling up, when it gets near the top it makes a few clicking type noises. I tried watching as it was rolling up, but didn't see it binding anywhere..but that's kind of what it's sounding like.

Any ideas?

 

Time to take the door panel off. Most likely splines in the window motor/tape are grinding...

 

Ew...that sounds like something that I'll never be able to put back on right, or I'll break something...

 

Eric- you posted about cleaning some throttle body part on your lumina.

I think you can remove a door panel..

 

DITTO!! Go for it man - and if you break it worse, you fix it. Thats how most of us learned.

 

Yeah but plastic panels scare me. I just never have luck...always seem to break. I've removed door panels on the truck and Lumina before, but the HHR just has cheap plastic, and I'm afraid it'll break...lol

 

Haven't run across this, but has anyone noticed an air rushing noise from around the back hatch area??

You can probably get the panel off and on again, but it will probably rattle when it's put back together!
