The ground wire is secure.

I have even checked both pending and set codes and there are none. This is what I would expect though, because the cel only comes on when the engine shuts off (which it's supposed to do), and the cel goes off as soon as the engine comes back on. I wish there were codes because that might give me an idea of what's wrong.
To the highlighted portion... If that's a normal behavior, there will not be any codes. I notice this too, when I turn the key forward before starting, all my lights come up, and then it's just my CEL and "E-brake" (because I have a manual) lights that are left. And when I have accidentally stalled while taking off from a stop, the CEL is the only thing that comes on, but after I start, it goes away.......

I would think that 100 miles would be sufficient. Sorry it didn't work.

Update: I went through with compressed air and a clean rag and cleaned a bunch of wires. I also noticed that the protective casing wasn't fully covering one wire, so I made sure it was fully covered. I didn't really expect any of that would fix it, but it appears that it did! It didn't act up at all yesterday! I want to thank everybody for your help and suggestions! I really appreciated all of your input!

A wire or 2 probably are frayed/burnt and grounding out, probably near the exhaust.

You pretty much got it! It started again, and I went through looking at the wires that I had previously cleaned. The ground connection (right by the main transmission plug) for one wire had come loose.

firemangeorge "Your's appears to have a short or disruption in the electrical system. Where ? Hard to say. Just one of those things that will have to be traced down.
Me. I would look at it with the car idling and shake, pull, tap, knock, disturb and so forth, any wiring I could get my hands on." (from post 28)

I'm sorry. I did see your post, and I should have acknowledged it as well. You and Donbrew both realized that it was probably a short. You also had a great suggestion (shaking all the wires with the engine running), and I had planned on doing just that, but then it stopped acting up, and when it did return, it was much more rare (2 - 3 times a day, as opposed to at least 50 to 100). But, there were only a few wires that I had cleaned before that got it to stop for a few days, so I looked closer at them, and that is how I found it.

I do want to thank you, donbrew, LawDog88, Snoopy, and everyone else for your help. It was a royal pain having to drive it like that, and I'm so relieved that it's now fixed.
