Try checking out the cold solder in the how tos. Im having the same problem and that was suggested to me I havent done it since my connections look ok and I dont have the soldering gun to do it. Im taking it back to the dealer to see if they will replace it.

Heres a quick link to it

Mine unlocks just fine but the locking/alrm set button slowly stopped working, took about two weeks to go from hold it for along time to works sometime to now nothing. Anybody had this issue, dealer said I need a new one, but I think Ill open it up and see whats happenin' in there before I buy a new one.
Any Ideas?

I bought 2 new remotes from E-bay and they work better than the stock one ever did. I got them from these guys, transponderisland . I am not a part of these guys and I am not trying to sell anything or post an auction so if I broke a rule let me know. I am just posting it so others can use them if they desire. They came in fast, brand new, sealed, with batteries and in good shape. I got 2 fobs and 2 transponder keys for about 75 bucks I think.
Also the dealer programmed them for FREE Now I just got to get the keys cut and the parts came with instructions to program the keys. The range on these were just as good as the originals too.

yes remote start works and better than ever. I also noticed that i dont have to press hard or hold it as long. I only got one fob and key when I purchased my car, long story and it only makes mad angry to talk about it, and I put off getting extras due to how much they cost. I made do with one and my wife usually drives it most so I really didnt need my own key for it. When this one started failing I had no choice, I really wish I did this along time ago.
Hey charles, Im sorry this post is too late for you, but now youll know for next time

ohh ok cool!
I still need to take it back in, remote start still don't work, and don't have a clue why, but since car sales are down, they kinda give it to you when warranty is up, gotta make money i guess

but no problem lol, I probably wouldn't have seen the post in time anyway, had to just take it there last week to get a recall for the roof support from like a year ago lol.
