Does your CARFAX report say anything about the car being a fleet order/rental car?

 

Anyone got a part number GM or auto parts for the RCDLR for a 2006 HHR LT 2.4 ? Can't find anywhere, even GM site, Rock Auto...

 

Not sure why you can't find it. Was listed on several sites that I looked at.

I've been following this thread from the start. My opinion, the receiver is not your issue. The lack of the remote start listed in the DIC leads me to believe your car has the RS delete from the factory. Most of the former rentals and FLEET HHR's came that way.
On the RPO sticker, there may be a code that pertains to a remote start delete or such. Not sure which code # that is.

P.S. There is no "Hood Ajar" warning in the DIC. There is a Rear Gate Ajar and a Door Ajar warning.

 

If the remote door locks work , it’s not the 15835547 module that’s the problem.

 

firemangeorge: Many thanks. I had oldblue tell me if the remote works the doors lock, which it does, it is not the 15835547 RCDLR. Whee, did not want to take that huge panel off and replace a good part. My glove box has several colums of Codes, the very first one is AP3 = remote start. However, one reply asks for 4 wires coming out of harness above the AC part and mine has 3...it's an 06 and I believe had many bugs. My BCM had to be replaced for an A/C problem..used car dealer covered. Whee, again...
I do have some CODES I don't know what they are: DNR VE1 6AE R6P R9N 1SZ or ISZ SLM and T43.
Repo Maroney Label says per VIN that I have Transmission 4 speed automatic includes AP3 Remote starter system ??
Ignition switch recalled and replaced in June 2014 at selling dealer in Chesapeake, VA and shift lever assembly and steering column replaced in California in 3/12/09, 11 years ago by original owner. There's been one Body wire repaired and the radiator was replaced at 10,000 miles Jan 07, car bought new on 3/18/06 , first titled as personal vehicle and never says Rental/Fleet. I see where dealer in pre-delivery installed Anti-theft/keyless device/alarm installed?? Original FOB missing, I got a replacement. Any help solving mystery appreciated.

Well, I did back off the number of wires when I provided the picture of the cable they would be in. Evidently half of my posts are invisible.

If that wire or another hood open switch is installed and there is no option in the DIC. The yahoo that ripped somebody off by replacing the BCM for an AC problem didn't reprogram the new BCM correctly.

 

That Donbrew and the alleged anti theft, alarm remote device, could have disabled the factory remote start.

DNR is a dealer installed option.
T43 is listed as Spoiler.
The others you can't find are I think, basically some internal sales numbers.
