It appears to have worked! I will have to wait and see if it is a good fix but as for now, it worked.

Hey I had the same problem, it was the key gum must be replaced after a while, the circuit works fine but the gum must be replaced. Or check the fuse for the door lock.

Mine hasn't worked for months.
How do you swap the battery? I thought the fob was sealed.

Both of my fobs have the solder joint failure

Will they be covered under the 100K extended warranty?

@Mowgli, what type of extended warranty do you have? Is this warranty through GMPP?

Usually this is something that falls within the Bumper to Bumper limited warranty.

I didn't disconnect the battery. I just started to work again on itself. I ended up buying the keylessfix thing and it really helps the remote work better. The buttons respond alot better.
