Yes. But the SS is totally different and this part won't fit. First thing I thought of when I saw it was how vulnerable the IC was to debris. jonboyb has a running dispute with his dealer because of a ding in his IC.

Maybe someone needs to come up with the really cool mod that looks good and protects the IC.

I am going to install a lower grill also. You can never have TOO much protection!
is it safe to say that your going to install this on yours or do you have something else in mind.

I have already installed it on mine. That's my car in the pics.

And I am going to do a lower grill mod on the fascia opening.

My '08 came stock with that black plastic protector, and although it looks like something could get through it, it should protect fairly well. Fingers crossed.

Doesnt the SS come with a lower grille already installed? This should stop stones from puncturing anything, no? Heres a pic of a members SS:

Yes the IC protector for the SS is already installed on the lower bumper fascia on all SSs.

The protector in the bulletin actually attaches to the condenser on the regular HHRs not the lower opening on the bumper fascia. You have to do a mod, which many have done, to the bumper on regular HHRs.

I just checked my car this morning and I also already had the protector installed. It seems pretty flimsy though. I'm still glad I put a lower grille in.

i had to pay 500 bucks in feb this year for my radiator. i went round and round with gm to get it under warranty. end result was money out of my pocket, i even tried to call them and say i wanted a refund because of the tsb, they told me that the tsb is there to just help out service techs and in no way will tell gm that there is a problem with the car, i said i wanted to talk to a supervisor and then i was put on hold for over 2 hours, no joke i have my cell phone records to prove it, and then the same lady got on the phone and said sorry sir there is nothing we can do for you then hung up! i was very very mad at this point. this is the worst treatment i have ever had and its the last gm car i buy, and i have owned nothing but gm my entire life. ive got corvettes and i have been kicking around the thought of adding a z06 to my lineup. well if a stupid radiator is worth losing a 80,000 sale then gm can go the way of dodge and shut the doors!
