Actually, my wife's BMW 325i had new rotors and pads front at 30k, and front and rear at 60k. The stopping power of the BMW is incredible, and I am told due in large part to aggressive pads and soft rotors. At any rate, my point is that the wear RATE is not unique to Chevy, but the warped rotors would seem to indicate a problem with the design I would think.

I think it is chevys part all the way and we (the one's) having the problem, shouldn't have to keep getting our rotors turned and then be out of waranty and have to put the cash out to fix their problem.

So is the way of life though. Trust me....Once you upgrade your rotors to non-OEM you won't care about the price nor will you have to get them repeatedly turned.

Alot of times the after market parts are better then the OEM. Oem does what they do to save cost. I have worked in the auto industry for many years. R1concepts on Ebay sells slotted and drilled rotors and have those on my Tahoe. Performance friction makes as excellent brake pad as well.

TO each their own. I just know if my rotors get warped, I'd replace them before even cutting them.
