Every time I put gas in the HHR I get in and start the motor and I get a small rough idle for a second or two and then it smooths out. Is this common or something to be concered about?

Trying to cram a little extra in when you fill it up? These cars have a very sensitive evaporator emission system. It may be flooding the system with excess gas fumes.

No, when it shuts off that's it. I pull the nozzle out. I thought today it may be the cap, but I took the gascap off and reinstalled it. Started the engine and it was fine. Thanks for your input, I have seen people do that and try to squeeze in a extra gallon.
