RPD will not come on

The RPD on my 2010 HHR SS will not come on, it will flash red for a split second on start up and then go black and up in the top right corner reads "reflash graphics"
Just bought the car and it has 69 k miles

First I've ever heard of that particular problem.
I would suggest taking it to a GM dealer and see if it's somehow covered under the powertrain warranty.
The SS's with RPD will not run if the unit is removed. Your's may be on the verge of rendering your car unable to start if it completely dies.

Fwiw. From what I've heard, a replacement RPD unit is almost impossible to find.

Scheduled to go in for the ignition recall in a few weeks, I'll have it checked then.
Thanks

Would this be covered under drive train warranty?

Your dealership is in the best position to determine if this would be covered under warranty. Your vehicle may need to be properly diagnosed first, however I'd be glad to inquire with your dealership on your behalf. If you'd like my assistance, please send a PM with your VIN, contact information and dealership name. I hope to hear from you!

Sincerely,

Andraya

Hey Tantrman, if it comes down to it, I have a RPD display that I can part with fairly cheap. I bought one from a board member here just so I could get the plastic HHR dash housing that it lives in. I have unscrewed the display unit, wrapped it in bubble-wrap, and put it in a box for shipping (thought I had a Cobalt forum buyer). Other than knowing it's held in by 3 small torx screws, I am clueless about it.
