Question Sagging Sunvisor

My passenger side sunvisor seems to be losing its tension and is starting to sag a bit. Well, more than a bit, but not all the way. Does anyone know how to tighten these up? Thanks.

Welcome to the site. This is the first time that I have heard of your problem. Someone who has had one off may chime in and shed some light on this subject. Years ago it was a easy fix, there was a clamp which could be tighten but they don't seem to use that anymore.

Size: 5.6 KB to the site!!! Sounds like a quick fix the dealership should be able to take care of.

Our sunvisors weren't sagging, but the mirror fell out of the passenger side visor a couple of days after we bought our '06 back in August 2005. Then, not too long afterward, we could see the mirror on the drivers side coming loose on one corner. The dealer replaced them both and we've had no furthur problem. I'd think your dealer would do the same for you since I don't see how drooping visors could be tightened.

I've noticed that my passenger side visor "sags" a little too. I've decided to remove the visors, because with them down I only see about 3" of the windsheild anyway, and fabricate an overhead type of console/shelf. Just trying to figure out how to do it with disrupting the use of the LED light and minus the visors underneath the console
Example:

The HHR doesn't have that much room for the overhead shelf unless you are a very short person. ON a full size pickup truck there is plenty of room for those.

unless you sit right up against the windhield, it will fit. I've already done the measurments, gotten the aluminum and interior fabric. Its just something different and unique. I don't use the visors anyway, so why not try to do something.

Saggy Shade

I also had a sagging passanger side shade. After taking it back to the dealer twice and having two brand new shades installed - it think the problem has finally been fixed.

My fiance's driver's side sunvisor is starting to make a popping noise when she flips it down and looks like it is starting to sag a bit.

She uses that think ALL the time.

Is there a way to tighten it? Her warranty just ran out.
