Wher should I start first. Surges at idle and under a light load?
Why wouldn't you take it to a dealer and have it fixed for free? If it is the solenoids it's powertrain.

@richflstn, how many miles out of the 36,000 miles are you?

Dealer stated solenoid was an external engine part and not covered under warranty, but claimed GM has had a lot of problems with the solenoids. Claimed it was NOT covered under warranty, but he was being nice and covered it anyway.

@diskullman, thank you for the update. I am glad to read that the dealership is taking care of this for you.

Your dealership is WRONG.

See post #2 (this comes straight out of the GM web site)

Which fuse?

Good question to ask.

Technically fine print should be smaller than regular print.

All's well that ends well.
The big print giveit and the small print taketh away.

Why get mad - it's a machine, and machine break on occasion, just like us. Anyways, first check your oil level, and change it if it has a lot of miles on that oil. If the problem still continues, it's a relatively easy fix if you have a few hand tools, and have half an hour or so of spare time - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/camshaft-position-actuator-solenoid-valve-replacement-w-pics-p0010-11-p0013-14-a-28779/
Or like ChevyMgr says - do the dealer thing if they will do it for free.

You can reset the CEL and the hard shifting condition, by disconnecting the NEGATIVE battery terminal under the trunk floor and reconnecting it.

Michelle,it has 40,600. This morning the ABS light and CEL
are on. Took it to the dealer, waiting for a call. I have owned several GM
