What's odd is that the OP didn't hang aroung long enough to even see the first response and, up to this point, hasn't been back........

We seem to get a lot of one-posters lately.

Thanks for info regarding warning lights

Thank you all for your comments (some of them oozing with "he must be stupid" leanings, but that's ok...firemangeorge seems to have what I need....being more specific, the two messages I see are Service ESC (represented by an engine graphic and Service Traction (represented by the traction graphic (like the one on the dashboard). Thanks again. By the way, my dad used an early 50s/late 40s Dodge panel job auto for his appliance repair business. It looks somewhat similar to the HHR with no back seat windows.

Robert, the alerts you're seeing have nothing to do with having your oil changed, you have some other faults being detected by the vehicle.

Take it to your local auto parts store and have the codes pulled, then post them up here.

Once we see what diagnostic codes your vehicle is displaying, then we can give you an approximate idea of what's going on and where to address as far as repairs are concerned.

The questioning of your first post came about because it was a bit vague, with the accumulated knowledge base here, the more detail that is provided...all the better. We're here to help.

Robert- I don't think anyone posted anything to offend you intentionally.

Wonder if the guy who did your oil change bumped some wires & caused the
Warning lights ?

Agree with 843de, get the codes read at the auto parts for FREE, & post them.

Old Dodge Panel truck, Cool man... I don't need backseat or windows either..

Some reading for you Robert:
- resetting the Oil Life indicator - that Robert, is on page 6-21 of your Owners manual.

- The Service ESC error is documented on page 4- 44, and the Service Traction on 4-45.

There is a slight chance all the warnings are related to the oil change - we have seen instances where the TCL light comes on, accompanied with the Check Engine Light (but I don't think anyone mentioned the Service ESC error at the same time) - and when the codes were downloaded at the local Auto Parts store the codes were the semi-infamous P0010/11/13/14 many of us have seen. Those codes/lights can on occasion be generated by contaminated solenoids from dirty oil.

Anyways, welcome to the forum, get those CEL codes downloaded, and post the codes here.

Agree that the Check Engine light is the problem here. The ESC is being disabled due to the Check Engine code. Once that code is fixed the ESC will go away too.

The code readers that Ive seen used at my local Advance/Zone etc. don't have the ABS capability, they don't usually use the expensive ones for free readings. So the "free" style reading may not help.

Sorry if suggesting you read the Owner Manual offends.

I just did my first oil change on a 2011.
Car wouldn't start afterwards, SERVICE ESC and TRACTION CONTROL OFF on the DIC. Juming the car made no difference, and disconnecting the battery made no difference. I got it to start by pulling and reseating the run/crank relay (I think) I was making sure all fuses were seated. No codes were found. Yea, I thought it's probaly a coincidence, but thats the same problem as the OP had....
