How about the main chassis ground at the driver side radiator support?

14v ? A fully charged battery should be in the 12.8-12.9 range. Sure your meter is reading correctly ?

Update,
Monday 2009 HHR towed to dealer at 9:00am. Tow vehicle tried jumper box and no action on dashboard or cranking on starter.
Called dealer at 6:00pm and they were just getting to look at it. They tried jumper box in yard and got no action just like I told them the tow company tried.
Mind you I have the GM bumper to bumper warranty.
They called this morning and requested to authorize another 3 hours at $105/hr to diagnose further. Under warranty electrical said it is covered but service mgr is at this point not giving me results of coverage after two days with car in the shop.
Not happy right now. Been without car with a busy family for two days.
Has anyone had experience with GM warranty dissatisfaction?

Brian

Yes,
When we bought the car used at this dealership we bought the extended GM service plan.
I bought it for my wife so that she would never have to be stranded without a car.

You bought an extended service policy from a GM dealer. Probably has nothing to do with GM, reread your policy. Maybe you mean the "Certified Used Car" extension, that should have been included in the price.

Another 3 hours to find an electrical problem? Are they new? What jumper box? Did they try to jump the battery directly in the spare tire well? Or the red post and the black post at the under hood fuse box?

The point is that they are a well established dealer 50 years plus.

Yes 3 hours and still no answer to issue.

The portable jumper box that they use to jump a vehicle.

They tried the red post under the hood and the new battery that was installed in November in the spare tire area.

I will be calling the Service Manager this afternoon to display my dis-pleasure with the service so far.
