Service Warning Messages on New HHR

Less than 500 miles on my new HHR & today lost the power steering & got two warning messages; Service Airbag & Service ESC. I absolutely loved my new car in its first week of trouble free driving, am not looking forward to spending the second week in the shop. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thats what the warranty is for. Sounds to me like it could be a fuse. Bring it in and they *hopefully* should figure it out in an hour or so.

Fuses?

Okey, I searched through the forums, read about fuses, located them under the hood & passenger footwell, pushed them all in, and when I started the car the warnings had disappeared... now when the Airbag & ESC warnings first came on I stopped the car for gas, and the warnings came back on when I started it up. So, maybe a loose fuse? Or did Car need to think about its fate a bit & decided it didn't really want to go back to the dealership?

Well, the fusebox jiggling lasted a day until the wipers stopped working. So with just about 600 miles (and a little over a week old) the new HHR has lost some of its sparkle by loosing the power steering, the wipers, and the airbags, and has now been in the shop all morning (with no resolution)!!!

The closest dealer is in Acton (bought the car in NH), Acton worked on it all day, couldn't figure it out, gave me a loaner, next day said it was the container under the hood that holds the fuses (can't remember the name of the part), the part is on backorder so they put in a replacement from another car until they can get the new part. Since I didn't buy the SS from them I've been pleased with the way they've handled the work. And so far no more service messages.

Sounds like they nailed it.

That bring back the sparkle for you?

I'm in Clinton BTW
There's a regular car cruise night in Milford NH on Tuesdays during summer.
A bunch of HHRs meet near and drive over together.

Cruise

Is there a separate group that posts the New England runs? The run to NH sounds like fun, where do you meet? Does anyone do the Cruise Nights at Kimballs in Westford? Do you have a dealer/repair shop in the area that you recommend?

I used to go to Kimballs.
It's a good show but I like Heberts Candy House better for Thursday.

I go to a few fairly regularly:
Lancaster on Rt. 70 on Fridays
Redline Diner (was Riley's) in Framingham on Saturdays
Orange Mass Elks on Sunday.

I met the previous NH coordinator of the Northern New England HHR Club and drove to the Milford run one Tuesday.
Everyone else was on vacation that week but he said a few of them usually drive over together most weeks in the spring/summer.

I used Durand Chevrolet in Hudson for a couple of things since I bought my car there.
I drove all the way to Newburg, NY to get my turbo upgrade kit done.
There's someone that works at the shop on the Maynard/Acton line on 27 that I'd use if I needed something serious done but he's not Chevy authorized.

What town are you in?

I'm in Harvard. Would the shop on the Acton/Maynard line be next to Christmas Motors? I did not know that Heberts had a cruise night. Do you use different tires in the winter?
