Here is the page for your console area. Looks like the whole chrome cover and centre plastic piece has to come out.

Success!!!!

I got it apart. Just didn't quite get what I was supposed to do. I was afraid I was going to break it.

You pull the leather down.

Then there a black plastic ring. You have to twist that clockwise. After you twist it, it then slides down out of the way.

You can now see the tiny retaining screw. A very small allen screw.


What happened with mine is the retaining screw had come loose. That why the shifter was wobbly. Tighten it back up and it's like new. Took all of two minutes once I figured out how to do it.

Now that I know how to take it apart I will look into a new shifter knob.

Thumbs down Looked into B&M...

B&M was an old sponsor so i jumped into the hhr and went down the street
i was actually surprised they remembered me after 6 years same mgr told me he had nothing that would work with my vechicle.

Yea it is an odd shifter. But I'm gunna look around anyway. If I find anything I'll be sure to let you know.
