sluggish?

is it just me and being used to other vehicles but is your 2.4 sluggish. Mines seems very slow and doesnt get up and go. It just turned 64k so it shouldnt be worn out yet. I am all stock other than changing wheels and dropping weight there. I am thinking intake and exhaust are soon on the upgrade list but I almost feel like I would be wasting money.

Mine is far from sluggish, there's a flat spot on initial acceleration (delay) but once past that she hauls...... Hoping a tune will get rid of that delay. Have you checked your air filter lately, I changed mine out the other day and the car woke up considerably. The old was visibly clogged and filthy, I hadn't changed it before and bought the car used. It may have been original equipment.

I just bought it from a dealership so I would like to think the filter was changed or atleast checked first. I will just replace it today its cheap enough. I have no low end power at all it seems, but fine at highway speeds.

Mine isn't like that, granted it's not a V8, but there's plenty of low end.

Dealer may not have even checked the filter..... "it runs... sell it" anything else costs money.

I will check that today. Just curious if it was just a rare case or what. Off the line, there is no power at all but on the highway it cruises just fine.

I can usually spin the tires quite well off the line if I want to..... so something's different there.

Could it be a delay in the "drive by wire" design?
