Every time I got to another shop I spend money. Should I just go to the dealer and fork over the $95 for them to look at it to.

Although there are Members here who bristle at the thought of going to a dealership for repairs, because there are some utterly clueless dealers out there.

Before you spend another penny with this guy, you might want to book it in for service at your local Chevy Dealer.

$95 is a lot cheaper than $700, no matter how you do the math.

Yeah that's their service charge. I'll just fork some change over !

Thank you all for your help. I am thinking about getting the switch and trying that out to see if that will fix it. I will keep you posted on the updates!

I love how this forum is so willing to help people. It's hard to come across good people now a days.

Good show!

If they determine it's a duff switch, you can always get one online and do your own repairs, or the dealer's price to fix it might just pleasantly surprise you.

Post #7 refers to the switch. I will try that out and see but the way shops do their pricing is odd. I will look into it more, thanks Blue.

That is what your referring to?..

Yup! I'm pointing out the price is way below $700.00 and there are differences in the '06 model.

I'd check the blower motor, does it work with direct 12v ?
At the blower connection is there voltage to you meter?
You mention the light not working on the HVAC panel, it could be it was damaged from the butyl patch leak!
You can spend the $95.00 on the dealer to check it, or a few simple tests and an EBay purchase.
A couple of 7mm screws fixed!
