Squeaking steering wheel/lighter fuse
I have been noticing some squeaking sounds in my steering column when I turn the wheel to the left. This doesn't happen all the time and I can't figure out why it is doing it.
I also am not able to use my lighter to charge my phone. I took it to o'rieleys and asked them about the lighter and they could not find a burn out fuse. Does anyone else have this problem and if so do you know how I would fix it?
I bought the car used and really don't know much about it's past.
Thank you

HHR have 2 fuse boxes, one inside on pass side of console just below dash.
But lighter fuse would be the underhood fuse box, & fuse # 29, under the lid is a schematic for the fuses & locations.. (note): This is also the circuit for the OBD II plug.
Your lighter socket may just be bad. Try the other Power Outlet, on back pass side below arm rests on console.
