my 2011 also does this when it sits for a day or 2, but not all the time. it started @ about 12k and there is no set pattern. It sounds like it could be a adjuster that works on oil pressure. I only hear it once every 2 months or so. I have 37k on my car. Please let us know what u find out. Thanks

 

I understand your frustration with your concerns on your HHR, Racer inc. I realize this doesn't happen all the time, but a visit to the dealership is recommend so they can at least document your concerns which can prove to be useful if needed later down the road.

There was an issue with the serpentine belt on the HHR. I forget what TSB it was. But My HHR Made that noise in the video clip and when I swapped the belt with a new one the noise went away.. Replaced Belt at 37K and my HHR now has 47000 and no noise..

 

I will stop by the dealer to have them log in the issue.Thanks 07HHR I wll keep an eye on the belt.
