Sticking Cargo Door

My left rear side cargo door sticks and always takes at least 2 click to open it with the remote or interior switch. I can here the latch click and the seems to disengage, but it fails to "pop" open like the right side.

I have tried the trick of lubricating the door seals and that made no difference. An inspection doesn't show any mis-alignment of the door.

Can anyone tell me how this works and how to adjust it. I cannot find any signs of a "popper" so I assume this feature is an integral part of the latch assembly.

Any "clues" would be appreciated.

I have the same problem but with both doors. there is a tsb for this problem but it did not fix mine. I have been waiting to see if GM comes up with a fix for this problem.

I have the same issue with the driver's side only. I have not made the dealer do anything about it, but I plan on it the next time I have it in for an oil change.

The 2008 Owners Manual says to hold RKE for one second - not just click

Remote Rear Door Operation (Panel)
*: Press and hold*for about one second to
open the rear driver side door.
+: Press and hold+for about one second to
open the rear passenger side door.

Having read the owners manual, I experimented with various times and the door doesn't open under any circumstances. Many times you must click (as many seconds as you wish) then grab the top edge of the door, then click again to get it i open.

If there's a TSB on this, then that indicates a problem other than technique for sure. I will try to track down the tsb. If anyone has this or a link to it maybe we can post it here. Glad I'm not the only one with the problem.

Try lubicating the actual latches..... A latch that is not properly lubed will hang up even if it is released. Also I am not sure about the stock poppers but make sure that they are also free moving. Aftermaket poppers sometimes hang up if they are dirty or in need of lube.

I would assume lubing the door hinges would also be a good idea...

After all of that I would say you need to check for proper alignment of the door latches and latch bolt....

Just my $.02

Frozen Hinges

I just had mine in and they said the problem was a need for lubrication. The work order indicated they lubricated the hinges. I checked and they certainly didn't install washers. Regardless the doors are working fine now and everything is dripping lube.
