Linkage? O_O Let me blow through the order of operations to how I understand it... Brake Pedal, Brake Switch, Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, Brake Lines, ABS Module, More Brake Lines, Brake caliper (Front), Brake Pads, Rotor, and Wheel Hub Assembly w/ Speed Sensor.
Or are you referencing the parking brake in between the seats? Or am I just missing something overall?

Now I need to pull up a theory of operations. -_- Cause I am second guessing myself. Arghh!

You missed the plunger between the pedal and the MC.

Another note for diagnosing: the MC is split diagonally, LF/RR, RF/LR. So if it had anything to do with the MC/power booster one of the rears should be affected.

If the car does have ABS/ESC then I suppose it is possible that the ABS "brain" is malfunctioning, thus my question about warning lights.

I assume even the most incompetent brake technician would bleed the brakes when they replaced a caliper and hoses.

The mechanism that retracts the piston is the square cut O-ring/seal in the cylinder. So if the caliper was replaced that is out.

That does not leave much unless there is more to the story. Like new parts that are not in spec (rotors, bearings, brackets etc).

If my mechanic replace bad caliper with used one, I will find new mechanic. It is $60 part after core return. Why would you even think to mess with used one.

No resolution posted. The OP didn't come back to update and hasn't been logged on here since 2021.
Ohiocruiser (not sure why you quoted him) also has not been on the site since 2021.
